Botox Treatment

The Botox Procedure

1. A medical history is taken for each individial client.
2. Explanation of the Botox procedure and it's effects on the face is discussed between the client and the Aesthetic Nurse, followed by the signing of the consent form.
3. Botox is a muscle relaxant which is administered to the upper-facial muscles by a painless injection via a tiny insulin syringe.
4. After approximately one week the muscle relaxation is evident - by reducing muscle movement the constant creasing of the skin ceases, thus ironing out skin-lines in that area.
5. The Aesthetic Nurse will administer the medication to the client with a number of small injections.
6. The client will be instructed to mobilise the facial muscles for 30 minutes after the treatment and to stay upright for a further 4 hours.
